A Brief History
A subsidary of The Center for Workforce Learning, My Learning Chain provides students with an on-line interactive learning system that will help them hone their productive skills and learn new skills. Founded in April 1996, Center for Workforce Learning works with agencies who are involved with or want to be involved with providing services to job seekers and employers through the Workforce Investment Act overseen by the
United States Department of Labor.
Mission
Center for Workforce Learning is a privately owned company that works with all types of companies including private business, non-profits, and public agencies to build the capacity of their employees and the overall organization. Services to the workforce development system range from facilitation (strategic planning, marketing plans, process mapping, service mapping, and balanced scorecard development), to training (all topics imaginable such as integrated case management, WIA overview, Baldrige continuous improvement concepts, customer satisfaction tools and techniques, fee-for-service, partnering and collaboration efforts, memorandums of understanding, organizational development, quality reviews, secret shopping, and board development), to negotating memorandums of understanding on behalf of local areas, training board members in WIA and individual/group roles and responsibilities. In addition, Center for Workforce Learning conducts customer satisfaction surveying, focus groups, and secret/mystery shopping for local and State agencies with a complete comprehensive analysis of the findings.
Mary Ann Lawrence
Mary Ann Lawrence is the President and CEO of the Center for Workforce Learning. Team Members represent diverse and extensive backgrounds in workforce development administration, support, and service provision.
